It may sound bizarre, but it snows metal on Venus. The snow is a mineral condensate of bismuth sulfide and lead(II) sulfide. The sun penetrates the atmosphere and triggers a series of chemical reactions to form droplets of sulfuric acid that coalesce to form rain. Normally, it doesn’t rain on Venus as it gets evaporated even before landing, eventually forming clouds for subsequent rains, thus creating a chain of incessant rains. Fantastic, but true.
